GIANT Museum at the Hotel Paisano
In 1955 Warner Brothers chose Marfa as the location for the filming of the epic movie Giant. In June of that year the cast and crew including James Dean, Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson made the El Paisano Hotel (now called the Hotel Paisano) their headquarters. Today, the hotel still has many visitors that come to see and remember Giant. James Dean's hotel room here is one of the most popular that they have to offer. There is also a small viewing room off the lobby where guests can watch the movie (it runs all day long) and there are several kiosks and wall hangings with memorabilia from the set. The gift shop offers many GIANT related souvenirs, including a wide range of James Dean inspired products.
