Sara Hickman @ Building 98

- Sara Hickman was named the Official State Musician of Texas in May 2010. She plans on using this title to help families create together and bring art programs into public schools.
On Saturday, Nov 27, Sara will bring her program to the International Womans Foundation, Building 98 on Bonnie Street in Marfa. Things will get started with a kids show at 3pm. Tickets for the children's show are $5. The evening program opens with singer songwriter Delia deVer at 8:00pm. Advance tickets available at haciendadelarcon.org. Proceeds go toward building a public labyrinth at the Building 98.

Artists Holiday Bazaar

For a second year, Marfa artists, craftspeople and amazing cooks will participate in a Holiday Bazaar on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving Day. The Masonic Lodge Building will be filled with wonderful handmade and homemade items that will make unique gifts at affordable prices.
Among the offerings will be hand knits, hats, scarfs, beautiful ceramic plates and platters,
blown glass jewelry, handmade clothing. elegant French linen bags and more. Local cooks will be gift wrapping delectable packages of holiday cookies, breads, prickly pear syrups, candies, jars of spiced jams and condiments. Fragrant handmade soaps and body scrubs from our area make perfect gifts for your family and friends.
