FREE Holiday Workshops

- Mark your calendars for our second annual Chinati Foundation holiday workshop series. This year we�ll offer a full week of hands-on holiday festivities focusing on a different project each day. Make art and hand-made gifts with your friends and neighbors of all ages.
Monday, December 20
9:30 - 10:30 AM, Families with children ages 3 - 5 years old
Squares, Rectangles, Peanuts. A special tour of Donald Judd's works in mill aluminum, followed by hands-on activities.
Children in this section must be accompanied by an adult.
Tuesday, December 21
10:30 AM - Noon, Ages 6 - 9 years old
No Electricity Required. Make your own festive light cubes and lanterns.
3:00 - 5:00 PM, Children 10 years through adult
Audio Visual Expedition. Make a multi-media journal with sound recordings, collected objects and field notes as we
explore former Ft. D.A. Russell.
Wednesday, December 22
9:30 - 10:30 AM, Families with children ages 3 - 5 years old
Find it. An outdoor art scavenger hunt followed by collage and printmaking projects.
Children in this section must be accompanied by an adult.
Thursday, December 23
10:30 AM - Noon, Ages 6 - 9 years old
Go Fly a Kite. Make a traditional kite using simple materials, and fly it on the Chinati grounds.
3:00 - 5:00 PM, Children 10 years through adult

Friday, December 24
10:30 AM - Noon. All ages
Holiday Party. Join us for a screening of the 1966 holiday classic Dr. Seuss's How The Grinch Stole Christmas with sweets, treats and stocking stuffers for all.
