| Description: | The Marfa Public Library celebrates its grand reopening from 11am to 6:30pm. Everyone is invited. There will be music, food and giveaways with the day culminating with the following celebration ceremony beginning at 5:30pm. Welcome and Introductions - Evelyn Luciani, President of Friends of the Marfa Public Library. Our New Library: A Short History of the Renovation Project Gary Oliver, President of the Library Board of Advisors Portrait of Mary Davis Presentation Mary Davis was a driving force behind the renovation of the libarary. She was also the first president of the Friends of Marfa Public Library. A new portrait of her has been painted by Emily Hocker and will be presented to the Library by the former Chairman of the Board of Advisors, Rena Kelly. Recognition of Service - The Friends of the Library have arranged for the presentation of small gifts of appreciation to Board members, staff and others.
