| Description: | Managing the Ranch as a Business II The second in the 2010 series of marketing workshops in collaboration with Sul Ross State University will take place on Friday December 17, 2022 at the Sul Ross State University Natural Resource Center with registration starting at 8:00 a.m. in room 130. Rob Hogan, Texas AgriLife Extension District Economist along with Dr. Jimmy LaBaume will present a day of marketing geared toward the success of the farmer and/or rancher. Topics will include: Commodity Futures Trading Techniques, Hedging for Producers and Processors, Hedging Strategies and Techniques, Introduction to Option on Agricultural Commodity Futures Contracts, and Option Trading Strategies for both Producer and Processors as well as Speculators. This workshop will be a great opportunity in an informal atmosphere to ask questions from specialists to assist you in the future. RSVP by December 13.
