Tickets are now available for the 2010 "Radio Rendezvous" to benefit Marfa Public Radio on Saturday, March 20 at the Capri in Marfa. This evening of dinner and dancing features a special performance by Webb Wilder of Nashville, catering by the Food Company of Dallas, a silent auction with one-of-a-kind West Texas prizes, and a raffle for a chance to win a Triumph Bonneville motorcycle.
Nashville musician Webb Wilder has described the music his band plays as: "Rock for Roots fans and Roots for Rock fans." The Associated Press calls their stage performance "a glorious amalgamation of killer grooves, Screamin' Jay Hawkins theatrics, a healthy sense of humor, and great pop melodies."
Tickets to this benefit fundraiser are $150 each, and seating is limited.
Tickets are available online at marfapublicradio.org or by calling KRTS at 800-903-KRTS.
This is the kickoff event for KRTS Spring Membership Drive. The on-air Drive begins Friday, March 19 and runs through March 29. You can become a member by phone at 800-903-KRTS or at marfapublicradio.org. Membership donations to Marfa Public Radio - a 501(c)3 organization - are tax deductible.
