MAY IS MARFA MONEY MONTH

The Marfa Chamber of Commerce will launch a Shop Local/Spend Local program on May 1st that aims to track how money circulates through town.

Look for $1 coins with a "May is Marfa Money Month" sticker on the back.
The idea is simple, the Chamber will put a sticker on 1000 $1 gold coins, and you spend them. The stickered coins will begin circulating on May 1st and retailers are asked to keep track of how many times the stickered coins are spent throughout the month.

The goal of this program is to see how many times a dollar is circulated within our community.
