CDRI Native Plant Sale
- Description:
- The Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute will be having its 24th annual Native Plant Sale Friday and Saturday, April 24th and 25th, at the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center, located on HW 118 four miles south of Fort Davis. The CDRI will be selling over 150 different species of plants that are native or adapted to the Northern Chihuahuan Desert region. The sale begins at 4 pm on Friday for members of the CDRI and opens to the general public on Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm. If you are not a member of the CDRI, but wish to have first pick of the plants, come Friday and join then. For a complete plant list, go to www.cdri.org. Earth Day Celebration

- The Sul Ross University Society for Conservation Biology hosts the second annual Earth Day Celebration from noon till 5pm at Kokernot Lodge located off Loop Road in Alpine. The purpose of the celebration is to bring awareness to the environment and local organizations and businesses that promote the sustainable use of the earth's resources.
